New Delhi. The two-day Central Working Committee meeting of Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad was concluded on 18 October at Rani Sati Mandir Gandhi Maidan, Patna. Important decisions for the coming year were taken in this meeting. In the upcoming important events, the CWC of ABVP has decided that a survey of the brave martyrs of independence war will be done by going to every village across the country.
While addressing the press conference, National General Secretary of ABVP Nidhi Tripathi said, “Many heroes participated in the fight for independence of India, but due appreciation to their contribution was not given. In this 75th year of independence, ABVP will try to bring forward the sacrifices of all such freedom fighters to the citizens of country.”
It is known that on August 15 this year, ABVP connected millions of people with the festival of independence by hoisting the tricolour at 1,09,635 places across the country. Various programs like internship, general knowledge competition and Tiranga yatra etc. are also planned to be organised across the country every month throughout the year.
The 67th National Conference of ABVP is scheduled to be held in Jabalpur from 24th to 26th December this year. Karyakarta and student leaders from across the country will attend the conference abiding by the Covid-19 protocols. Prof. Yashwantrao Kelkar Yuva Puraskar is also conferred in the national conference of ABVP every year to a young social worker giving significant contribution to the society. ABVP has shared the information for this year’s nominations. The work on an upcoming book titled “Dhyeya Yatra” on ABVP’s journey in past 75 years is also in the final stages and will be published soon.
