Bhubaneswar. The issues of social cohesion, family awareness, environmental protection, water conservation and different seva activities by swayamsevaks during the corona pandemic period has been discussed in the meeting of Akhil Bharatiya Karyakari Mandal of RSS. There are plans to expand the seva work based on self-employment, self-reliance and self-sufficiency. The meeting called on the swayamsevaks to work more responsibly in a changing environment because of the corona pandemic situation. In this meeting, reviewed the current state of affairs in terms of current activities and discussed the future issues. Different social issues such as Kutumba Prabodhan (family awareness) were also discussed.
A two-day meeting has been held at the Terapantha Bhavan in Bhubaneswar for two days on November 25th and 26th. The meeting was attended by RSS Sarsanghchalak Dr. Mohan Bhagwat Ji, Sarakaryavah Sureshji Joshi including 35 other honorable members of the Akhil Bharatiya Karyakari Mandal belongs to Odisha, West Bengal, Sikkim, Andaman and Nicobar Islands.
Due to the corona Pandemic, the social situation has changed now. In this changing environment, the swayamsevaks need to change the way they work. During the presence in shakhas in the open field, it was discussed that all the rules related to COVID-19 must be followed and the physical distance should be maintained with caution.
In current scenario, environmental protection is also a major priority for all of us. When it comes to environmental protection, awareness campaigns such as water conservation, prevention of water misuse, and restrictions on the use of plastics need to be carried out. We can’t create water, but can save it. Trees can be planted. More and more trees need to be planted. In this meeting, it has been taken as a challenge that the temples, water sources and cemeteries to be open to all and to protect water and forest lands from pollution to protect the environment. The meeting focused on avoiding the use of plastic. The work of the swayamsevaks for the family awareness program has to be further enhanced. A variety of services have been provided by the swayamsevaks during this corona period. Many institutions and individuals were also involved with this selfless service activities of swayamsevaks. It was discussed in the meeting that all of them would be in regular contact with us.
