Sivagiri Sree Narayana Dharma Sangham Trust, President Swami Satchidananda, urged AN Shamseer, to issue an apology for his anti-Hindu remarks. Swami Satchidananda emphasized the Hindu tradition of respecting all religions and stated that the protests stemmed from the hurt caused to believers by Shamseer’s comments.
Referring to the revered work “Vinayaka Ashtakam” by Sree Narayana Gurudevan, Swami Satchidananda highlighted Gurudevan’s deep reverence and devotion to Lord Ganesh.
Swami Satchidananda clarified that the trust’s stance is not driven by political motives but by the respect for religious sentiments. He addressed the issue during a press conference held at the Trust’s headquarters in Varkala.
Actor Harish Peradi urges Shamseer to rectify his controversial remark
Actor Harish Peradi took to his Facebook account to express his expectation that AN Shamseer, rectify his controversial statement. Harish Peradi insisted that AN Shamseer, who made anti-Hindu remarks, should openly acknowledge his error and extend an apology to the religious community.
The exclusion of other religious references while discussing matters of scientific awareness, focusing solely on one religion, has deeply wounded the faith of its followers. Harish highlighted that the Indian Constitution guarantees the freedom of belief, whether regarding myths or deities. Given his post, Shamseer bears the responsibility of safeguarding the faith of believers. However, instead of fulfilling this role, the Assembly Speaker’s remarks singled out a specific religion, leading to emotional distress among the followers.
Consequently, Harish Peradi emphasized the importance of Shamseer making amends by apologizing to the affected believers and rectifying his stance.
In his Facebook post, Harish also noted that the democratic believers across the country are anticipating Shamseer’s correction of his statement.
