Kerala (VSK).

Ardent efforts of Hindu organisations, including Sangh-inspired Hindu Aikya Vedi (HAV), have turned fruitful. The issue came up when the CPM-dominated governing committee of legendary Thirumadhamkunnu Bhadrakali temple, in Muslim majority Malappuram district, painted the temple complex in green colour.

After painting, the look of the temple turned to be that of a masjid. HAV and other temple organisations submitted a memorandum before the temple committee asking to change the colour. The leaders told them that if the committee does not do it, they (HAV) would take actions to do it. At last, the temple committee came on their knees. They started to change the colour.

Painting was carried out in view of the temple festival, aka pooram during March 28 to April 7. Thirumandhamkunnu is one of the three most significant and famous Bhadrakali temples in Kerala.

The list of the temple committee itself is thought-provoking. Chief Patron is M.P. Abdul Samad Samadani MP, leader of Indian Union Muslim League (IUML). IUML leader Manjulamkuzhi Ali MLA is the Chairman. Zilla Panchayat President Rafeeqa, Zilla Panchaya Member Shaharban and Grama Panchayat President Saeeda are in the committee. This is more than adequate to evidence the unholy nexus between CPM and Muslim leadership.

HAV president Sasikala Teacher criticized temple committee’s anti-Hindu stand in sharp terms. No doubt, it is high time Hindus made themselves conscious about the threats their culture faces every time, every day, everywhere in Kerala.
