Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra General Secretary Champat Rai, revealed on Monday that since the Pran Pratishtha of Ram Lalla on January 22 this year, more than 15 million devotees have visited to pay homage.
The mandir welcomes over 100,000 visitors daily, all seeking blessings. “Every day, more than 100,000 people come to the mandir for darshan. Since the consecration on January 22, approximately 15 million people have visited to have darshan of Ram Lalla”.
Moreover, he announced plans for the construction of a 14-foot-wide security enclosure around the mandir, known as ‘Parkota.’ “Currently, only the ground floor of the mandir, is complete. Work on the first floor is ongoing. A 14-foot-wide security wall will be erected around the temple, known as the ‘Parkota,'” he elaborated as per media reports.
He further detailed that the ‘Parkota’ will serve various purposes, accommodating six additional mandirs. “The ‘Parkota’ will serve multiple functions and will include the construction of six additional mandirs. The mandir premises will have the capacity to accommodate 25,000 pilgrims at once, along with their belongings”.
“Existing trees and plants on the premises, numbering around 600, are being safeguarded. Additionally, facilities such as water treatment and sewage treatment plants are in place. This temple will be self-sufficient, ensuring that the people of Ayodhya face no difficulties in meeting its needs,” he assured. Recently, the celebration of Ram Navami witnessed fervent participation for the first time at the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya.
