Chennai. A musical tribute and launch of Kavi Bharati, musical notation program based on one of the eternal compositions of Mahakavi – Oli Padaitha Kanninai commemorating the 140th birth anniversary of Mahakavi Subramania Bharati is organized by Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh, Chennai Unit at the Bharatiyar Illam, Chennai on Saturday 11th December, 2021.
Kalaimamani Anil Srinivasan, Musician spoke on the immense faith Bharati had about our nation. Coming together, working together sets foundation for transformation.
RSS Sah Sarkaryavah Ramdutt Chakradhar, in his speech extolled the greatness of Mahakavi. His key message was transformation from independence to self-reliance. He shared an anecdote on how Bharati is an example in making a Valmiki tribe person to recite Gayatri Mantra and his campaign against untouchability and caste discrimination.
Sneha (Friendship) and sewa bhava (service mindedness) to poor is needed. Bharati advocated Swadheenta (independence) to self-reliance based on Swadeshi principles.
He appealed to contribute during this 75th year of independence in some form like by giving 75 days, 75 weeks or teach 75 students, plant 75 saplings for the society etc.
