Sabarimala (VSK Kerala).

Sajeewan, a differently-abled devotee from Palode, Thiruvananthapuram, was denied a dolly service by the police during his pilgrimage to Sabarimala.

The police refused to allow the dolly to reach the drop-off point at Pampa where vehicles usually halt. This act of negligence affected an individual who required assistance even to sit in a chair. Normally, dolly services are available right at the vehicle drop-off point in Pampa. Despite multiple requests to the police, no action was taken.

Although an officer promised to book a dolly service, they failed to follow through. When the issue was brought to the attention of Devaswom officials, they also did not respond. Finally, Sajeewan declared he would lie down on the road using a cloth as a mat, after which the police reluctantly allowed the dolly to reach Pampa.

Sajeewan had come for the pilgrimage with his brother and nephew. He mentioned that in previous years, dolly services were provided right at the vehicle drop-off point without any hassle. He criticized the new arrangements, stating that they cause unnecessary hardship for devotees.
