A call for “Happy and Meaningful Student Life” on campuses during ABVP’s Vichar Baithak in Tiruchirappalli was made

New Delhi. ABVP demands that efforts should be made to reduce the academic pressure and tensions in all higher education institutions of the country. This major step towards stress free, happy and meaningful student life must be made at both institutional and policy levels. The difficulties that have been created in the life of students by the Covid-19 pandemic and various other reasons are now quite evident.

ABVP demands that in order to remove problems like academic pressure, stress among the students and to achieve the larger goal of stress-free, positive-lively campuses and educational life various new programs and activities should be started in the educational campuses which will ultimately spread positivity among the students. Such programs and activities have become need of the hour to improve the mental health of the students.

In the Vichar Baithak of ABVP held in Tiruchirappalli in the year 2020, ABVP demands to make the campuses ‘the center of joyful and meaningful student life’ and to create a positive environment for the students to get education so that students grow socially and ultimately contribute to the growth of the Nation.

ABVP has a clear view that there is a need to expedite the work in this direction for creating an optimistic environment.

Yagyawalkya Shukla said, “The manner in which several incidents of suicide have come to light in different higher education institutions of the country in the past are very worrying. To improve this situation, various positive steps should be taken. In order to reduce academic stress, all stakeholders including the government and heads of educational institutions must come together and make efforts to bring about positive changes in educational campuses and create an open and positive environment for students.”
