Kollam (VSK). The first Agnipath recruitment rally in South Kerala which started at the Lal Bahadur Shastri Stadium, Kollam received a great response. District Collector Afsana Parveen flagged off the rally. Army Recruitment Bengaluru Zone DDG Brigadier A.S. Valimbe and Thiruvananthapuram Army Recruitment Officer Colonel Manish Bhola attended the function. Agniveer recruitment rally is for candidates of Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam, Pathanamthitta, Alappuzha, Kottayam, Ernakulam and Idukki districts till November 24.
The rally is held for Agniveer General Duty, Agniveer Technical, Agniveer Tradesmen 10th Class, 8th Class and Agniveer Clerk/Store Keeper Technical. A total of 25367 candidates have registered for the rally. Out of 1767 candidates from Kottayam and Ernakulam districts, 904 candidates attended the rally yesterday and 151 candidates won the race. 1931 candidates from Pathanamthitta and Idukki districts will participate in the rally today.
Candidates from Kollam district will participate in the rally on November 19 and 20 and candidates from Thiruvananthapuram and Alappuzha districts will attend on November 21 and 22. The physical, medical and test procedures of Agneepath Rally will be concluded on 24th.
The Common Entrance Test will be held on January 15 for candidates who qualify the physical and medical tests. Candidates who pass this and qualify on merit will be sent to designated training centres of the Army for training.
Nursing Assistant Rally from 26th
Apart from the Agnipath Rally, the Army Recruitment Rally for the posts of Soldier Technical Nursing Assistant/ Nursing Assistant Veterinary and Junior Commissioned Officer (Religious Teacher) categories will also be held at Lal Bahadur Shastri Stadium from November 26th to 29th. This Army Recruitment Rally is for candidates from Kerala, Karnataka, Lakshadweep and Mahi states. The final fitness test for the rally will be held on November 28th and the final medical on November 29th. The army has warned the candidates not to fall victim to the agents. The entire process of recruitment in the Army is free, fair and transparent.
