The third Bhoomi Pujan for 108-foot Hanuman statue estimated to be constructed at Rs.100 crore in the ‘Hanuman Char Dham Project’ was laid in Rameshwaram on February 23. The foundation ceremony was presided over by the industrialist Nikhil Nanda of HC Nanda Education and Charitable Trust in the presence of RSS Sarkaryavah Dattatreya Hosabale Ji and former UPSC secretary. This is the third gigantic statue of Lord Hanuman followed by Jakhu in Shimla, Morbi in Gujarat, is set up to come in Rameshwaram by 2024.
“Installing such statue in four border areas of four corners North, East, South and West is slowly but steadily being fulfilled. This is really a great deed; it is not a personal or family affair. It is a cultural and national affair. Hanuman Ji is a God, who is protecting all of us. And Hanuman Ji is the only such deity who existed in all the four yugas – Sat Yuga, Treta Yuga, Dwapar Yuga, and present Kaliyuga” said Dattatreya Hosabale Ji.
