Hindu Swayamsevak Sangh (HSS USA) swayamsevaks along with their parents’ honour teachers as per Hindu values during the annual Guruvandana celebrations all over USA.
In Brookshire on May 3, 21 teachers (including 2 principals) from British International school, KatyISD and LamarCISD were honoured.
The Carmel chapter honoured 23 teachers and Superintendent Dr. Micheal Beresford of Carmel Clay Schools. In Arizona region, HSS honoured over 60 teachers from local schools, dance academies, music schools, and math institutes.
At the Kesari Shakha, the celebration was graced by Shaunna Risinger, Commissioner of the City of Chandler’s Human Relations Commission as Chief Guest. On May 3, Mahwah chapter of Hindu Education Foundation – a Project of HSS, honoured Mahwah School District Teachers. HSS Iowa City recognized the contributions of 9 educators. Teachers described the event as “amazing, respectful, and very well organized.”
In addition to the honoring ceremony, the events featured cultural performances and interactive booths that highlighted key aspects of Hindu culture.
