New Delhi. Official spokesperson of the Ministry of External Affairs, Arindam Bagchi, condemned the attack against the world renowned novelist Salman Rushdie. Bagchi was in a conversation with the Delhi media.
In its first reaction to the stabbing of Salman Rushdie, on Thursday India condemned the “horrific attack” on the celebrated novelist and wished him a speedy recovery.
India is always against violence and terrorism. Strongly condemn the attack against Salman Rushdie. Let him recover immediately and regain his health, said Arindam Bagchi.
Salman Rushdie was attacked on 12th of this month. Religious extremist Hadi Methar stabbed him in the midst of a public function held in New York.
Rushdie was stabbed on his neck and stomach. As he survived the danger, he is still under treatment at a hospital in New York.
