New Delhi. In the Jamia Nagar violence case, Delhi Police have arrested 10 people with criminal backgrounds on Sunday.
According to police, no student has been arrested. The protest that erupted damaged property followed by which two FIRs have been registered by the Delhi Police. The police personnel had resorted to lathi-charge and firing of tear gas shells to deal with the violence during protests.
A senior police officer clarified that none of the arrested were students.
All the arrested men have criminal background and they were caught from the Jamia Nagar and Shaheen Bagh areas.
Police sources say that a night-long raid was conducted on Monday during which these men were arrested on the basis of videos circulated during the anti-CAA protests.
