Katipalla, Karnataka. In a shocking incident, a school in Dakshin Karnataka asked students to remove rakhi threads inviting sharp criticism. A school in Katipalla near Suratkal drew the ire of parents and Hindu organisations after it allegedly asked students to remove Rakhi threads tied on their wrists.
The members of the Hindu organisations along with the parents of the students conducted a protest over the move.
The incident took place in a Christian school in Katipalla where the teachers made students remove the rakhi threads from their hands.
Enraged by the incident members of the Hindu organisations reached the school to conduct a protest and demanded action against the concerned. Police officials too arrived at the spot.
Following this, the school authorities in the presence of police apologized to the parents and the issue was resolved.
