Thane. In a shocking incident, a 14-year-old school boy raised “Pakistan Zindabad” slogans in Bhiwandi of Thane district on Tuesday. The incident took place outside the Bhiwandi Municipal Corporation office.
Upon getting information about the incident, police reached the spot and detained 19 people, including five women, in connection with the matter. A case has been registered against all for allegedly disturbing the atmosphere.
The students and their parents were reportedly protesting outside the civic body’s office as they were not being allowed to attend a private school due to non-payment of fees. The parents have been protesting against the school administration for the last few days.
During the demonstration on Monday, the boy shouted “Pakistan Zindabad” slogans.
In September, a video of protesters purportedly raising “Pakistan Zindabad” slogans during an agitation held in Pune by the Popular Front of India (PFI) surfaced on social media.
The PFI had organised the protest outside the district collector office in Pune city to condemn the recent raids on the organisation across the country and the subsequent arrest of its activists.
