New Delhi. NHAI and its contractors entered Guinness World Records for laying 75 Km long continuous Bituminous Concrete Road in record 5 days.
Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari has congratulated NHAI, Consultants and Concessionaire, Rajpath Infracon Pvt. Limited and Jagdish Kadam on achieving the Guinness World Record by constructing 75 Km continuous Bituminous Concrete Road.
In a tweet, he said, NHAI is celebrating the rich legacy of the nation with Amrit Mahotsav, under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He said, the work has been completed in a record time of 105 hours and 33 minutes.
The Amravati to Akola section is part of National Highway-53 and an important East-West corridor.
The work was carried out in a single lane on NH-53 section between Amravati and Akola in West Vidarbha. This Project was carried under ongoing Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav Initiative by NHAI.
The construction has been done as per the norms of National Highways Authority of India. Modern equipment and bituminous concrete were used for construction. 800 to 1000 workers were engaged in the construction work.
