New Delhi. The Indian Armed Forces launched ‘OPERATION SINDOOR’, hitting terrorist infrastructure in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir from where terrorist attacks against Bharat have been planned and directed.
Altogether, nine (9) sites have been targeted.
Our actions have been focused, measured and non-escalatory in nature. No Pakistani military facilities have been targeted. Bharat has demonstrated considerable restraint in selection of targets and method of execution.
These steps come in the wake of the barbaric Pahalgam terrorist attack in which 25 Bharatiyas and one Nepali citizen were murdered. We are living up to the commitment that those responsible for this attack will be held accountable.
Operation Sindoor was conducted between 1.05 to 1.30 AM last night, and nine terrorist sites were targeted. Giving details about the operation in New Delhi, Colonel Sofia Qureshi of the Indian Army and Wing Commander Vyomika Singh of the Indian Air Force informed that Operation Sindoor was launched to give justice to the victims of the Pahalgam terrorist attack.
They said for the last three decades, Pakistan has been constructing terror infrastructure, which includes recruitment, indoctrination centres, training areas, and launch pads that are spread across Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir. They gave details about the operation, including destroyed terrorist sites and how the operation was conducted successfully without targeting military and civilian installations.
Raksha Mantri on Operation Sindoor
“Through Operation Sindoor, Bharat has used its ‘Right to Respond’ to the attack on its soil, and the Armed Forces scripted history by acting with precision, precaution & compassion to destroy the camps used to train terrorists in Pakistan and PoK,” said Raksha Mantri Rajnath Singh.
Raksha Mantri asserted that, as per the plan, the targets were destroyed and no civilian population was harmed. He commended the Armed Forces by giving a befitting reply.
“The whole world has witnessed what our Armed Forces have done today. The action was carried out very thoughtfully and in a measured manner. It was limited only to the camps and other infrastructure used for training terrorists, with the aim of breaking their morale. I congratulate the Armed Forces on behalf of the whole country,” added Rajnath Singh.
