Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh initiates legal action against Kairali channel for allegedly publishing fake news

Alappuzha, Kerala. The Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) has taken legal action against Kairali Channel, for publishing fake news in connection with the murder of a Democratic Youth Federation of India (DYFI) worker in Kayamkulam, Krishnapuram. The legal proceedings have been initiated by RSS Kayamkulam Khanda Karyavah P Dilish through Advocate Pratap G Patikal Associates.

Ambadi, a DYFI worker from Kayamkulam Devikulangara, was reportedly linked to the RSS, leading to speculation and accusations in the aftermath of the tragic incident. In response to the alleged fake news published by Kairali Channel, the RSS has decided to pursue legal action against the media outlet’s Chief News Editor and Alappuzha reporter, Shahjahan.

The RSS takes the matter of responsible and accurate reporting very seriously, especially when it concerns sensitive issues such as this tragic incident in Kayamkulam. The organisation asserts that the dissemination of misleading information can have serious consequences and impact public perception and sentiment.

Moreover, the legal action also extends to social media accounts that have reportedly shared and propagated the alleged fake news against the RSS. The organisation seeks accountability and responsible journalism, urging media outlets to verify facts before reporting to ensure accuracy and avoid any misinterpretations or misunderstandings.
