New Delhi/Jaipur. ED (Jaipur Zonal Office) has arrested Raju Ram Iram under the provisions of Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA), 2002 on 19.07.2024 in the matter of Rajasthan Eligibility Examination for Teachers (REET) Paper Leak case in Rajasthan.
Raju Ram Iram was produced before the Hon’ble Special Court (PMLA), Jaipur and the Hon’ble Court has granted ED Custody for 03 days.
ED initiated investigation on the basis of FIRs/Charge-sheets registered/filed by Rajasthan Police, under various sections of IPC, 1860 against Raju Ram Iram and other related persons.
ED investigation revealed that Raju Ram Iram had received the said leaked paper of REET Examination, 2021 from other accused persons involved in leaking of the question paper of REET Examination, 2021. Further, Raju Ram Iram gave the leaked paper to other associates for further distribution to various candidates. Furthermore, Rajuram Iram, with the help of his associates made arrangement in Jodhpur to show and read the leaked paper to various candidates in lieu of huge money.
In this case, ED had earlier conducted search at a total of 32 premises of accused persons on 05.06.2023, 20.06.2023, 07.08.2023, 17.10.2023 and 26.10.2023, resulting in recovery of incriminating documents/digital records and seizure of huge cash. ED had earlier arrested Pradeep Parasher and his assistant Ram Kripal Meena. A Prosecution Complaint (PC) has been filed before Hon’ble Special Court (PMLA), Jaipur against Ram Kripal Meena for which cognizance has already been taken by the Hon’ble Court.
