At the very first moment of the landslide, Prajeesh came with a Jeep to rescue the stranded people up on the hill side. He saved many people and took them to safe places. The first two times he climbed the hill which was severely hit and people were trapped inside their houses.
Even he took a bed ridden person on his shoulders to move them immediately. Again, people were standing on the mountain waiting for help in panic. Taking his near one’s words about Prajeesh, he might not be able to sleep peacefully leaving them there alone. He was such a darling to the entire village.
When he went to the top of the mountain for the third time for rescue, his friends stopped him.
He told his friends…
“There are many people trapped on top of the mountain, Vasuvetta (Vasu brother). Don’t stop me. I will go anyway.”
Prajeesh again climbed the hill with the jeep. People were put inside the jeep. But unfortunately, he couldn’t reach the Chooralmala Bridge. On his return, 3rd landslide took the jeep along with soil and water. After that nobody saw him.
Similarly, RSS Karyakarta Sarath also displayed extraordinary courage and bravery during the landslide. Sarath was engaged in saving trapped people after the first landslide. He went up to the hill to locate people in that darkness. Sarath also lost his life in the next landslide. Soil and water came from uphill took his life.
Some people are like Prajeesh and Sarath. They will appear in distressed situations to save the people around them. They value the life of others more than their own. They are called as heroes at the cost of their life. We pray to Maa Bharati to keep them in her lap safely.
