Chennai.

RSS (Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh) has been engaged in the work of national reconstruction for the past 99 years by instilling patriotism and piety among the people of the country through Hindu unity. RSS is the world’s largest charitable organization. 1.5 lakh service works are being done across Bharat by the swayamsevaks of RSS.

In the past, the British Government had issued an order that civil servants should not join the RSS with the aim of not instilling a sense of patriotism in the youth. The order was lifted after the country gained independence. Our Constitution has given us freedom of expression and freedom of association.

Back in 1966, the then Prime Minister, Indira Gandhi ordered that central government employees should not join the RSS. The order, which is against democratic norms, was recently withdrawn by the present Central Government after 58 years, reflecting in victory for freedom of expression.

In today’s age, RSS swayamsevaks have made remarkable achievements in various fields like politics, spirituality, culture, trade union, service and agriculture. Many civilians are amazed to see the RSS trained volunteers continue to engage in people’s work with honesty and determination.

However, two Tamil Nadu MPs of the Marxist Communist Party have objected to the current government’s removal of the order that crushed democratic norms. Specifically, the Dindigul Constituency M.P. Sachidanandam, is spreading slander by associating the RSS with the killing of Mahatma Gandhi.

RSS was banned when Mahatma Gandhi was shot dead in 1948. But then, the Supreme Court ruled that RSS had nothing to do with Gandhi’s assassination and lifted the ban. And various inquiry commissions have confirmed that RSS had nothing to do with Gandhi’s murder.

Moreover in 1934, Mahatma Gandhi visited the RSS camp at Wardha, Maharashtra. During his visit, he also made a special mention of the daily morning prayer in the RSS shakhas across the country.

But the enemies of the Sangh, as usual, continue to connect the RSS with Gandhi’s murder only to seek forgiveness in court if we file a case.

Already, Congress leaders Sitaram Kesari, Arjun Singh, Digvijay Singh and others have faced defamation cases in the courts for linking the RSS to Gandhiji’s murder. Even recently, Congress president Rahul Gandhi had to apologize to the court.

So, the RSS warns that the Marxist Communist Party MP Sachithanandam to withdraw the slanderous comment and issue an unconditional apology. Otherwise, he will have to face strict legal action.
