Thoothukudi, Tamil Nadu.
Due to heavy rains in the southern districts of Tamil Nadu, regions like Nellai, Thoothukudi, Tenkasi, and Kanyakumari were severely affected. This led to extraordinary damage in these areas, leaving many families homeless and in distress. In response to this situation, Seva Bharati Dakshin Tamil Nadu initiated various relief efforts and has been actively conducting several service activities.
As a continuation of this relief works, an event was held yesterday where Seva Bharati formally handed over newly built homes to 10 families who had lost their houses due to the heavy rains and floods in Thoothukudi and Tiruchendur. During the event, the new homes were officially handed over to these families.
The event was presided over by Masanamuthu, retd IPS Thiruchendur jila Sanghchalak; Padma Shri Sridhar Vembu, CEO of Zoho Foundation attended as the special guest, lending distinction to the event. The key addresses were delivered by Akhil Bharatoya Sah Seva Pramukh A. Senthil Kumar, and Dakshin Kshetra Sanghchalak R. Vanniyarajan.
Additionally, Harikrishnakumar, RSS Dakshin Kshetra Pracharak; Padmakumar, Akhil Bharat Pramukh of Rashtriya Seva Bharati; and Dakshin Tamil Nadu Prant Pracharak Arumugam, were present and honored the event with their participation.
