Seva at a great pace in Corona Lock down affected areas
New Delhi. VHP had appealed to the society to celebrate Shri Ram Navami at home. Thus, Shri Ram Navami was celebrated on 2nd April in lakhs of families all over Bharat at home with – chanting of “Shri Ram Jai Ram Jai Jai Ram” vijay mahamantra, performing Arti, remembering Shri Ram Charitra and paying homage to the lakhs of Hindus who have sacrificed their lives during the agitation to build Shri Ram Janma bhoomi Temple.
The Vishva Hindu Parishad, through its nationwide organizational network, has been engaged in relief work in large measure in this hour of crisis. Since 26th March, VHP has started helpline facility in every state of the country.
Due to the nationwide necessary lockdown for the protection of the society, many sections of the society are facing difficulties. As per the information received till 08 April, VHP has distributed 18,65,699 food packets to people and separately served dry food to 2,89,827 families. In 1771 towns and at over 11,554 places across the country, these service activities are going on, of course, with observance of government guidelines such as social distancing, etc. More than 27,103 VHP workers are engaged in this service work.
3,38,282 safety masks and 1,36,442 sanitizers have been distributed to people so far. Various relief works such as arrangements of milk for children, food for security personnel and sanitation workers engaged in duty, potable water for them, daily food supply for all patients in many hospitals in many cities are going on in association with many temples, Gurudwaras, Derasar (Jain temples) and other social and religious organizations. In many states thousands of migrant labourers have been provided with food for several days. All the above service activities are going on daily and VHP will run it with the help of society till the time this crisis is overcome.
