New Delhi. Expressing his grief over the sudden demise of Bibek Debroy, the international president of Vishva Hindu Parishad and senior advocate Alok Kumar said that he has created a void in the economic, religious, spiritual and literary life of Bharat. He was an economist, who challenged the so-called socialistic pattern and guided the way to the liberalisation of the economy. He worked with the prominent institutions including the Rajiv Gandhi Institute for Contemporary Studies (RGICS), a member of the Niti Ayog, Chairman of the Prime Minister’s Economic Advisory Council (PM-EAC), several State Governments and others. He guided in various fields including Law and Judiciary, Labour and Railways.
The VHP president said that more importantly, Debroy achieved command on Sanskrit Language. He studied Mahabharat; sorted out the original Shlokas in it; sifted the later interpolations and translated it into English; a mammoth work in ten volumes and 2.25 million words. He translated 4,00,000 verses of the 18 Puranas, the 11 major Upnishads and so on.
Thus, Shri Debroy led in both: the ancient Sanskrit literature and the modern economic. His death has caused an irredeemable loss not only to Bharat but to the entire World.
VHP pays its humble homage to the departed soul.
