Thiruvananthapuram. Goa Governor Adv. P.S. Sreedharan Pillai stated that the notion that the British united Bharat is absurd. Bharat has always been unified, ancient, and ever-renewing. He was inaugurating the Kesari’s Bridging South Conclave.
He disagreed with the idea that religion is the foundation of the state. Bharat’s nationalism is spiritual and not devoid of spirituality. The seed of our unity lies in our diversity, which must be nurtured, said Sreedharan Pillai. Kerala’s flaw, he pointed out, is that it has become a state disinterested in discussing nationalism. Instead of positive movements, negative movements are prevailing here. The problem arose when Kerala rejected the spiritual vision of Sree Narayana Guru and embraced revolution, the Governor added.
Former Union Minister Rajeev Chandrasekhar said that dividing the people is the strategy of opposition parties at the national level, and the Bridging South Conclave is a defence against this.
In his keynote address, Prajna Pravah National Convenor J. Nandakumar stated that Kerala, lacking in Indian identity and nationalism, is dangerous, and there are many examples to prove this. Where nationalism has eroded, those places no longer belong to India. Such conclaves are a response to the divisive forces that seek to forcibly uproot everything Indian, Nandakumar said.
Former Ambassador Dr. T.P. Sreenivasan presided over the function. Kesari’s Chief Editor Dr. N.R. Madhu, Dr. K.N. Madhusudanan Pillai, and Rani Mohan Das also present at the event.
