In this hour of grave danger to humanity, when the very survival of mankind is at stake because of the rapid spread of Coronavirus all over the world, Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) has come forward to perform their duties. And that is to serve the people. No matter what their religion, community, caste or creed they belong to, Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh has always stood up in times of crisis.
At a time when the entire country is in a lockdown state, and poor people are suffering due to the lockdown, RSS is helping people in every possible way. Be it in distribution of food materials and medicines, sanitizations of localities and guiding people who are stranded in different parts of the country due to the lockdown through ‘Helplines’ opened by RSS especially for this purpose.
In Assam the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh is setting examples for others to follow. In the beginning of the outbreak of COVID19 Assam was not effected but later on when people of Tablighi Jamaat started arriving from Markaz, Nizamuddin in Delhi into the state, the situation changed overnight. Apart from bringing the virus with them because of their unwillingness to follow government orders, they were and are still hiding from the authorities. And because of these reasons majority of Assamese people are now looking at the Muslim population of the state with a sense of doubt and fear. But in this hour of insecurity of Muslims in Assam, Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh is providing every possible help to the community. In this context, RSS Swayamsevaks of Lakhipur, Jaleswar Khanda under Goalpara district in Assam have distributed various grocery items, mainly food items, to the lockdown effected poor families residing in various areas of Rajmita Gaon Panchayat.
