Jammu Kashmir. In a major success ahead of Independence-day, Security forces have arrested 11 terrorists belonging to different terror groups from Kashmir valley. Three terrorist associates linked with banned terror outfit LeT were arrested by security forces in Budgam district on Thursday.
The arrested terrorist associates have been identified as Qaisar Ahmad Dar, son of Ghulam Nabi Dar, hailing from Kremshora, Tahir Ahmad Dar, son of Ghulam Nabi Dar, a resident of Wagar and Aqib Rashed Ganie, son of Abdul Rashed Ganie, from Wagar.
All three were affiliated with the proscribed terror outfit Lashkar-e-Taiba, and their apprehension is a significant blow to the nefarious activities of the group in the region.
“The recovered items include a Chinese hand grenade, two magazines and a cache of 57 live rounds”.
Two Jaish terrorist associates arrested from Srinagar
J&K Police on Wednesday arrested two terrorists associated with the proscribed terrorist outfit Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) from Srinagar and recovered grenades from their possession.
The arrested terrorist associates have been identified by police as Arshad Mushtaq and Suhail Majeed Mir, both residents of Pulwama district.
Police said that two grenades were recovered from them following which a case under various sections of the UAPA and Explosive Act has been registered against them.

Three terrorists arrested from Kokernag
In another incident, Indian Army arrested three terrorists on Wednesday night from South Kashmir’s Kokernag with war like stores including a hand grenade and ammunition.
One hand grenade and two AK magazines with 56 live rounds were recovered from their possession. During the search operation, terrorists hurled grenade with aim to break the cordon.
This lead to injury of two civilians, along with three army personnels. The injured were evacuated to Kokernag Hospital. The operation was conducted in cooperation with the J&K Police. The individuals were apprehended from the Wagar area under Khansahib Police Station.

3 LeT terrorists arrested from Baramulla
In the third incident, Security forces in a joint operation along with J&K Police have busted a terrorist module at Uri in Baramulla district of the union territory, arresting three terrorists and recovering arms and ammunition from them. Case under UA (P) Act & Arms Act has been registered.
“A terrorist module has been busted in Uri Baramulla, and 3 terrorist associates of Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) outfit have been arrested. Arms and ammunition were recovered from them, and a case under UA(P) Act & Arms Act registered,” said the police.
Trio have been identified as Shoukat Ali Awan, resident of Churunda, Ahmad Din, resident of Churunda, and Mohammad Sadeeq Khatana, resident of Churunda, Uri. Four Grenades, one Chinese Pistol, one Pistol Magazine and four live rounds were recovered from them.
