NIA Conducts Searches at Nine Locations in UP and Punjab in Extortion by Khalistani Terrorists

New Delhi. NIA conducted searches at Nine (09) locations in Barnala, Moga, Ferozepur in Punjab and Meerut and Muzaffarnagar in UP in connection with threatening and extorting money by Khalistani Terrorists at Mehna, Moga, Punjab.

In the searches conducted at Beehla in Barnala, Dala in Moga, Ghall Khurd and Satiawala in Ferozepur in Punjab, Hastinapur and Udyawali in UP, empty bullet cartridges, one polybag containing 122 grams of narcotic substance, digital devices including, Compact drives, Mobile Phones, Sim cards and many incriminating documents have been recovered.

The case was originally registered at PS Mehna, District Moga, Punjab u/s 386, 387, 397 and 400 of Indian Penal Code, 1860, section 22 of NDPS Act, 1985 and sections 25(6), 25(7) of Arms Act, 1959 and added sections 10, 11,16 and 18(B) of Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act, 1959 and section 115 of Indian Penal Code, 1860, relating to information received by Punjab Police that Arshdeep Singh @ Arash r/o Dala, Mehna, Moga, Charanjit Singh @ Rinku r/o Beehla, Barnala and Ramandeep Singh @ Jajj r/o Ferozepur, all currently abroad, had formed a gang and are threatening and extorting money from people. NIA had re-registered the case and taken over the investigation.

During investigation, three accused persons have been arrested and arms & ammunitions have been recovered at the instance of the arrested accused persons. The absconding accused Arshdeep Singh@ Arsh is a close associate of Hardeep Singh @ Nijjar (declared designated terrorist by the Govt. of India), Chief of Khalistan Tiger Force (KTF) and as per his directions he had formed this terrorist gang comprising gangsters/ shooters based in Punjab and Uttar Pradesh, India. The arrested accused persons have killed three businessmen/ entities based in Punjab and they had identified other targets as well.
