Chennai. 1000th year celebrations of Shri Ramanuja began at Gokuldham, Sriperambadhur. The celebrations began with the lighting up of Kuthuvillakku by Pujyasri Prema Pandurangan, kshetropasana Sriperambadhur. Rama Elumalai Ji, Kanchi Vibhag Sanghachalak welcomed the gathering. Selvaraj Ji Auditor and Vibhag Sanghachalak Puducherry presided over the gathering. Throwing light on the managerial ability followed in temples, he said that the only medicine to Tamilnadu today is taking the message of Shri Ramanujacharya to the society.
Sriparamahansa Appan Parakaala Ramanuja Empaar Jeeyar Swamigal blessed the gathering and Pujyasri Prema Pandurangan, Gokuldham kshetropasana, thanking the audience for associating her to this great work, she said that the Sharanagati Shastra is the ultimate way to Moksha. God can only be experienced through this. It is the Acharyas make the society to experience it. She appealed to give software to Ramanuja so that the soul will reach the younger generation. To attain Moksha, the philosophy of Ramanujar is the best way.
A book Naan Raamanusan written by NRI Aamaruvi Devanathan was released by Dr. A Kalanidhi and the first copy was received by Shri Tada Periasamy. Devanathan Ji threw light on the philosophy of Ramanujacharya and the evolution of various thoughts. A website www.ramanujam1000.com was inaugurated by Ramanuja Empaar Jeeyar Swamigal. Dr. A Kalanidhi Former VC Anna University highlighted the content of the book. In his address, he said that the spiritualism combined with humanism makes difference. There is no humanism without spirituality. Samadharma Samathuvan should be followed as guided by the Acharyas.
RSS Kshetra Pracharak Sthanumaalayan said, “Today we are in a society fighting with all evils, freeing of temple assets etc. We could see all the Panchabhootas are polluted. Shuddhi or purifying Panchabhootas should be taken in a great way. This shuddhi and marching towards divinity is the real Hindu way of life. In families, the holistic way of education should be imparted. Ramanujacharya, a great social reformer, is the solution to all social problems today. We need to practice his philosophy in day-to-day life. Practical Ramanujar is the need of the society”, he said.
