Kochi, Kerala. RSS will commence its centenary activities on October 2, Vijayadashami, as announced in a press conference by Uttar Kerala Prant Karyavah P.N. Eeshwaran and Dakshin Kerala Prant Sah-Karyavah K.B. Sreekumar. Established on Vijayadashami in 1925, the RSS is completing 100 years. The final outline for the centenary programs was formulated at the RSS Akhil Bharatiya Pratinidhi Sabha. Accordingly, centenary celebrations will be conducted across the country for one year, from this Vijayadashami -Vijayadashami 2026. The Pratinidhi Sabha has designed six special programs as part of this initiative.
As part of the Vijayadashami celebrations, large public events will be organized at the mandal or Khand/Nagar levels, where Swayamsevaks in full uniform and the general public will participate. In Kerala, an extensive Jansampark (public outreach) program will be conducted from November to January 2026, aiming to reach every village, every locality, and every household. The outreach intends to spread the concept of Panch Parivartan (Five Transformations) proposed by the Sangh for societal change – protection of family values, social harmony (Samajik Samrasta), environmental conservation, self-reliance, and civic awareness.
Hindu Sammelans will be organized at Mandal Kendras and regional levels. These conferences will promote the message of Samrasta (social harmony) by emphasizing an inclusive, discrimination-free, and friendly social life. Samajik Sadbhavana Sammelans will be held at Khand (Taluk)/Nagar centers. Vichar Sabhas will be conducted at district headquarters, where prominent personalities will engage in discussions to provide the society with the right perspectives on national issues.
Kerala has also witnessed significant growth in this regard, with RSS activities taking place in 6,031 locations. Since last year, the state’s RSS operations have been divided into two Prants – Uttar Kerala and Dakshin Kerala – for better organizational development. The number of people expressing interest in joining the RSS through the Join RSS initiative has also increased. The RSS has been expanding its outreach in various ways, such as engaging with prominent individuals, organizing Chai Pe Charcha (informal discussions over tea), book discussions, film societies, and through the activities of affiliated organizations like Seva Bharati, Saksham, and Mahila Samanvay. Initiatives like environmental conservation, organic farming, and rural development have also played a key role in spreading the Sangh’s ideology across all sections of society.
The press conference was held at the Bhaskariyam Convention Center in Elamakkara.
