Chennai. Demanding departmental action against the Ramanathapuram DSP who arrested 350 RSS leaders and workers when the Sangh Prayer was recited during a Prant Baithhak of Dakshin Tamilnadu on June 14, over 700 members of various Hindu organisations and BJP workers participated in a protest demonstration in Chennai on June 16.
Prant Seva Pramukh Sri Ramarajasekar insisted that RSS being a patriotic organisation the State Government should treat it as one. Those who addressed the demonstrators were Sri Durai Shankar, Vibhag Sanghachalak, Sri Muthuramalingam ABVP, Sri Parameswaran, Hindu Munnani, Dr. Tamilisai Soundarajan BJP, Smt Vanathi Srinivasan, BJP, Sri Durairaj BMS. Sri M D Shankar, Vibhag Pracharak also spoke.
In Erode, protest demonstration was conducted at Veerappachatram Bus stop. Poosappan, Hindu Munnani presided over the meeting. Sri Rajan, Prant Sampark Pramuk, Pon Rajesh Kumar BJP and N Palanisamy BJP also participated.
