Hanuman Mandir’s wall near Farah police station defaced with anti-Hindu graffiti

Mathura.

In an incident on Saturday (October 19), the walls of a Hanuman mandir in the Farah police station area, were found defaced with objectionable, anti-Hindu graffiti, triggering outrage among local devotees.

Notably, every Saturday, devotees gather at the temple to recite the Hanuman Chalisa. The incident sparked fury among the devotees. It occurred just 100 meters from the OL police outpost, raising questions about security lapses. Devotees, upon seeing the anti-Hindu graffiti got angered and demanded action.

The police somehow managed to calm the situation. They washed off the offensive words from the wall and stated that action would be taken. Upon receiving information, activists from the Kodand Pinak Sarang Sena protested at the site. The police reassured them, promising further action. Villagers have expressed suspicion against five individuals and have submitted a complaint against them.

Notably, Sarsanghchalak Dr Mohan Bhagwat, is in Mathura for a 10-day visit.
