At Kanakapura – A massive Kanakapura Chalo rally was organised by Hindu Jagaran Vedike and a massive turnout was seen. The silent protesters walked from Ayyappa Swamy Temple in Kanakapura to Tehsildar office. The protest was against the church and tall Jesus status being constructed illegally in the Muneshwara hills, Kanakapura which once housed a small temple and was place for Sadhus. The land of gomala (place for the cows to graze) was trying to be acquired and a church construction was planned. A political leader was closely involved in it claim the villagers……
