New Delhi. NIA filed Charge sheet (on 18th Dec.) against 06 Pakistani and 01 Indian arrested accused persons before NIA Special Court, Ahmedabad, Gujarat in case (Seizure of 237 Kgs Narcotics Drugs) registered u/s 120B, 201 of IPC & section 17 & 18 of Unlawful Activities of Prevention Act & sections 23, 28, 29, 30 & 32(B) (e) of NDPS Act.
The charge sheeted accused are 1) Safdar Ali s/o. Alavarayu Sheikh; 2) Alahi Daad Angiyara s/o. Allabaksh Sheikh; 3) Azim Khan @ Azeem Khan S/o. Osman Baloch; 4) Abdul Aziz s/o. Mohammed Zuma; 5) Abdul Gafur s/o. Sakidad Angariya; 6) Mohamad Malah s/o. Mohamad Urs, all residents of Karachi, Pakistan and 7) Ramjhan S/o. Gani Palani, r/o. Beyt-Dwarka, Gujarat.
The case pertains to seizure of 237 Kgs of Narcotics from Pakistani vessel Al-Madina, Near Jakhau Port, Kutch, Gujarat. Investigation in the case has revealed that the arrested accused persons had conspired and attempted to bring total 330 Kg of narcotics drugs into Gujarat, who were eventually intercepted by Indian Coast Guards on 21/05/2019 and resulted in the recovery of nearly 237 Kgs of narcotics, several incriminating articles and Pakistani Currency Notes.
