New Delhi. Against the attacks on the Sikh community in Pakistan, the Bajrang Dal, Rashtriya Sikh Sangat, Hindu Manch and other Hindu organizations protested near the Pak High Commission on Tuesday under the auspices of Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP).
In view of the protests, heavy deployment of Delhi Police and paramilitary forces were done near Pakistan High Commission. Hundreds of VHP and Bajrang Dal Karyakartas participated in the protest.
On this occasion, VHP Working President, Advocate Alok Kumar said, “Nankana Sahib is to us what Mecca and Medina are to Muslims”. The Jihadi attack on Nankana Sahib tries our patience! Pakistan must bear in mind that when similar atrocities took place in East Pakistan, the Indian Army entered there. In two days 90 thousand Pakistani soldiers came to their knees and surrendered before the Indian Army. After this East Pakistan became Bangladesh. The attacks on minorities in Pakistan may prove suicidal for that country.
On being denied permission by the police to go to the Pakistan High Commission, VHP Working President said, “We have expressed our opposition to the atrocities. We do not want to be a law and order problem for the police. We have given the message loud and clear. Pakistan must protect the minorities. It must not test the limits of India’s patience!”
Advocate Alok Kumar Ji also said that there is a wall of hatred in the Pakistani society. This is not only against Hindus and Sikhs but also against the Ahamadiyas and Shias. It has become an existential threat to all people in Pakistan.
Hundreds of Karyakartas courted arrest during the protest. They included the Regional Organizing Secretary Mukesh, State President Kapil Khanna, Working President Vagish Issar, General Secretary Bachchan Singh, Vice-President Surendra Gupta, Bajrang Dal Coordinator Shyam Kumar & media coordinator Mahendra Rawat all were released after two hours.
