New Delhi. CBI on Monday arrested three persons including a Panchayat Pradhan of Sarberia in an on-going investigation of a case related to attack on ED Officers at Sandeshkhali (West Bengal). They are all associates of accused Shaikh Shahjahan who was arrested earlier. These arrests have been made during investigation of the case.
CBI arrested Ziauddin Mollah, Didar Baksh and Faroque Akunji in the Sandeshkhali ED attack incident. Earlier, CBI had issued summons to nine persons in the 5th January attack on ED at Sandeshkhali case. They had been asked to be present at the agency’s Nizam Palace office in Kolkata where the CBI had questioned them for hours before the arrest. Among them, Ziauddin Mollah is known to be Shahjahan’s most trusted associate.
All the accused will be produced before the Magistrate today.
