Unlike the Arabs who forced their religion on people whom they conquered, unlike the Europeans who colonised and enslaved people wherever they went, Indian saints and Buddhist Monks approached the world with the message of peace. Hindu–Buddhist philosophy is based on knowledge and hence it lays the foundation for a tolerant society.
Soni Ji was addressing the Hindu Chetana Sangam organised by Hindu Swayamsevak Sangh, Thailand at Minder Pattana School, Bangkok. Sri Gurumukh Singh Ji, founder president of Indian Association of Thailand inaugurated the programme by lighting the lamp.
Bhisma Phramon Rangsikul, Royal priest of Thailand, was the chief guest guest. He said that ‘Buddhism’ was the most significant cultural contribution of India, for which Thailand is greatly indebted to her.
Mahesh Kumar Ji, Karyavah of HSS Thailand briefed the gathering on the important activities organised by HSS Thailand. Vijay Sharma Ji, Sanghchalak of HSS Thailand also spoke. About 500 swayamsevaks from various shakhas participated.
