Six members of banned CPI (Maoist) killed in Telangana; female Naxalite arrested in MP

Bhopal/Bhagyanagar. Six members of the banned CPI (Maoist) were killed in an exchange of fire with the police in the forest area near Mothe village in Bhadradri Kothagudem district of Telangana. They include two women.

The police informed that two commandos of the elite anti-naxal force of Telangana Police, Greyhounds, were also injured in the exchange of fire and were shifted to a hospital. The police recovered five weapons, including two AK 47 rifles, one each SLR and 303 rifles, and one pistol, as well as live rounds of ammunition kit bags and other materials at the site of the exchange of fire.

SOG of Hawk Force arrested female Naxalite in Balaghat

The Special Operation Group of the Hawk Force has arrested a hardcore female Naxalite in Balaghat, Madhya Pradesh.

A group of Naxalites also attacked the police party to free this female member. There was a reward of Rs 14 lakh on the arrested Naxalite woman. Balaghat-Mandla Range IG Sanjay Kumar informed that six cases including murder are registered against the female Naxalite during Naxalite activities in Madhya Pradesh.

Hawk Force has also recovered a pistol, magazine, an axe and other items from her possession. The Naxalite woman has been arrested from Chicharangpur forest area of Parsatola under Baihar police station area. The governments of Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh and Maharashtra had announced a reward on the Naxalite woman.
