New Delhi. As part of the Meri Maati Mera Desh Campaign special trains from state capitals with about 20 thousand volunteers carrying Maati Kalash have been welcomed at various railway stations of Delhi. Amrit Kalash Yatra is being conducted by the collection of soil from every corner of the country in seven thousand five hundred urns. The primary objective of this initiative is to pay tribute to the courageous freedom fighters and heroes who selflessly gave their lives for the nation’s cause and to establish an ‘Amrit Vatika’ in Delhi.
Delhi Division of Northern Railway and Ministry of Culture had made elaborate arrangements to welcome the volunteers. Helpdesks had been set up at the stations to guide the volunteers deboarding at the stations.
