Telangana (VSK). Swayamsevaks of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh in twin cities of Hyderabad & Secunderabad were called upon to prepare food at short notice and given a time of 8 hours to prepare and keep them ready at different railway stations in the city. Around 15,000 chapathis and 14,000 pooris along with vegetable curry were prepared. Most noteworthy point here is the involvement of family members swayamsevaks in preparing food items.
On 22nd May 2020 at around 11.30 p.m. RSS office of Secunderabad called up the Swayamsevaks and asked them to get ready for the mega food preparation activity. Swayamsevaks rose to the occasion and immediately procured the required quantity of material for food preparation. Family members of swayamsevaks especially women worked all night to roll out chapathis, puris and curry.
All the prepared items were brought to a function hall in Begum Bazar and food packets were made ready.
Migrant labour travelling by 10 trains from Secunderabad, 8 trains from Lingampally, 4 trains from Kacheguda and 3 trains from Bolarum were provided with food packets and water bottles.
In view of nation-wide lockdown following the Covid-19 virus infection, relaxation was made for migrant labour to return to their native places and Shramik special trains are being run for them.
RSS swayamsevaks are arranging food and water for consumption by migrant labour travelling by these trains over long distances.
