Kollam (VSK). Kerala Kshetra Samrakshana Samiti (KKSS) or Kerala State Temple Protection Council, a Sangh-inspired organisation, has demanded Sanatan Dharma classes in every village of the state.

Criminal offences increased in Kerala, because, spiritual and cultural values are not imparted to the younger generations. Changes in life styles and wrong ideologies make the situation grave. The plea was made by the state conference of KKSS held, on May 26, 27 and 28 at Kottarakkara, Kollam district.

Conference called on the Dewaswom Boards (DBs,) that is, the Government-controlled bodies to manage public temples, to kick off Sanatan Dharma classes in every village. KKSS opined that the ruling regime is responsible to find out a solution to the miserable plight the society suffers. Value-based informal education is the solution in this regard. DBs should fund these projects.

Now, various Hindu organisations, including KKSS, run these sorts of classes in the state. Meeting also demanded annual grants for these informal schools.

The conference, presided by KKSS state president M. Mohanan, was inaugurated by Adv. K.K. Balaram, Kerala Prant Sanghchalak of RSS. KKSS state secretary K.S. Narayanan and organising secretary T.U Mohan spoke on the occasion.

Jharkhand Governor C.P. Radhakrishnan inaugurated Mathrushakti, the women’s conclave, on May 27. BJP leader and former Mizoram Governor Kummanam Rajasekharan, Seema Jagaran Manch National Coordinator A. Gopalakrishnan and RSS Dakshin Kshetra Sah Karyavah M. Radhakrishnan addressed various sessions.
